National Capital Region BPA Task Order for Project Management Services
Coast and Harbor was awarded a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) in May, 2017 by the National Capital Region (NCR) of the US General Services Administration (GSA). Coast and Harbor was awarded a five-year task order to provide project management services to NCR. Coast and Harbor had ten Senior Project Managers working under that task order, half of which managed projects in Government owned buildings, and the other half managed projects in Government leased buildings.
Project Highlights
Each of the project managers is responsible for multiple tenant fit-out projects. The projects range in size from $125,000 to $150 million. The Coast and Harbor team collectively is managing tenant fit-out projects with an aggregate value of just over $500,000,000.
The Coast and Harbor Senior Project Managers get involved with their projects starting with the development of the Program of Requirements in consultation with the user agencies. Their leadership role continues through design, construction, and occupancy. At each stage of the project, they work closely with GSA, the user agency, the designer, the contractor, and other project stakeholders.
The Coast and Harbor team is working with GSA on projects creating or modifying office space for multiple Federal agencies, including the following:
- Federal Judiciary (courthouses)
- Department of State
- Department of Defense
- Department of Veterans Affairs
- Department of Homeland Security
- Department of Justice
- Department of Transportation
- Environmental Protection Agency
As an example, Coast and Harbor is managing the complete $130 million fit-out of the new headquarters of the US Transportation Safety Administration. This 600,000SF building is being developed by a private developer and leased for the TSA by GSA.
