New Hangar and Administrative Support Building, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico
Coast and Harbor was the Construction Manager and the Commissioning Agent for the LEED Silver-projected New Hangar and Administrative Support Building in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.

Project Highlights
This design-build project supports the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Air and Marine Facilities in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. It consists of a 22,792 square-foot maintenance hanger, a 9,597 square-foot administrative hanger support building and an open hangar area with fifteen (15) parking spaces, and the extension of the existing infrastructure. The maintenance hangar was designed to accommodate the largest four (4) aircraft at one time. This project is located in an active airport, and required the coordination and phasing of all work so as not to disturb existing operations.
Additional features include:
- New electrical utilities upgrades including components for new security, network, and communications systems
- Full backup emergency generator
- New water utility services for fire and life safety needs
- Construction of a new maintenance hangar that can be disassembled and reassembled at a different location as needed.
