Boston Convention and Exhibition Center
CHA, as a sub-consultant to Tishman Construction Company, was a significant part of the Owner’s Representative team for the design and construction of the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, which is the largest building in New England.
Project Highlights
This $750 million, 2.1 million sq. ft. facility includes more than 500,00 sq. ft. of exhibition space, a 40,000 sq. ft. grand ballroom and 84 meeting rooms with more than 160,000 sq. ft. of space. There were 50 contracts and 731 change orders for the project, which came in with budget. It features:
- Eleven acre curved aluminum roof that projects over Summer Street
- A ballroom with mahogany finishes
- An institutional kitchen
- Executive office space
