Building Project Details
Williams College Science Center, Williamstown, Massachusetts
CHA is providing Owner’s Project Manager services for the new Science Center on the Williams College Campus in Williamstown, Massachusetts. This project is the largest capital improvements project in the history of Williams College. It is expected to be completed by 2020.
CHA is providing complete pre-construction, construction, and occupancy services for this complicated project. The project is located on an active college campus setting and will require coordination and phasing of all work so as not to disturb existing operations.
This is a two-phase project. Phase 1 is the construction of a new southeast addition (approximately 65,000 sq ft.) that consists of science labs and office space. Phase 2 is the abatement and demolition of the existing Bronfman building (approximately 85,000 sq. ft.) and construction of a new building with labs and office/classroom space. The project is using the Construction Manager at Risk project delivery method and will involve the use of BIM6.
